Russian energy giant Gazprom said Friday that exports to Europe and Turkey fell by 26.4 percent in volume between November 1 and April 15 compared to the same period a year earlier.
Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, said on Wednesday that the European Union would impose new sanctions on Russia, probably on gas and oil. "At this critical time in the war, we need to increase pressure on Putin again," von der Leyen was quoted as saying in the European Parliament.
